archer Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Whilst I appreciate that PTE creates a temporary AVI file to allow you to burn it to CD/DVD etc the problem I have is that I create 4 separate temp AVI files then incorporate them into Ulead Video 7 mixing other avi files. The problem is that due to the number of temp. AVI files my PC starts to slow down. I am basically running 4 PTE progs with Ulead Video 7, plus all the other overheads on my machine. The temp files always require to be relinked or reloaded into the library of Ulead Video 7. Now the resultant DVD file is now sitting at 350MB once burned. The solution I would suggest if possible is the creation of the AVI file as a permanent file and not temporary.Any thoughts on this. Ken Cox Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Archer, welcome to the forumthe avi file is temp by design.you can use tmpgenc and encode the exe's individually and then when you have them all in the state you wish [you can keep these files], then import them into your dvd program seehttp://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=4&t=1408andhttp://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=4&t=1350ken Quote
ccmanz Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Well you can create a permanent AVI file if you try some of the different Video Codec.Your video quality will not be as good as the PTE_AVI file. And the file will be larger. I created a one min Video and my file size was 900 MB. (That is almost 1 Gig a min of slideshow)PTE's temp file is only 11MB. And the PTE video was much better quality. You will have to try some of the Video Codec on your computers and let us know if you find one that works well for you. Everyone's computer will have different Codec. It all depends on what programs you have installed and updates you have made. For myself. PTE's Codec works the best and has the best quality. But we are still testingthis Beta.cc Quote
