PTE AVI to QT MOV

I'm trying to convert the PTE AVI file to a QT MOV file using Quicktime Pro. When I try to read in the AVI file, QT Pro tells me that it doesn't have all the software needed to read the file. Anyone know of a solution? This is a 1024x768 show and I'm just using the presets of PCM for audio and PTE video encoding.
