Guest Yachtsman1
I've been using the current edition of PTE to compile a show of a commission I have in progress, to date it has 50+ slides & will have a few more. With the new (to me)O&A screen I find the opacity & blur buttons too close & very easy to select the wrong one (blur) which I haven't used yet, but opacity is being used for every slide. Also the Colour button size is out of proportion to the amount of use I would put it to & IMO has only been made that size to advertise its presence. Can we re-size/ position the buttons to make them commensurate to their use. If you remember I couldn't find the 3D button when I first started using the programme, I'm sure it can't just be me.One other moan, I am using a slide as a background, 25 of one image & 25 of another. Copying and pasting is laborious, is there or could there be a way of selecting multiple backgrounds to save time.Yachtsman1. :)/>/>/>
Lin Evans
Hi Eric,There are only five "buttons" on the animations tab. If you couldn't "find" the 3D button, perhaps it's because you didn't actually "look" very hard. Beginning at the top: Button one, nope, not it. Button two, nope, not it. Button three - eureka!!!Project Options - Screen Tab - Image - click next to image and browse to and choose image. This will get you half way there.Best regards,Lin

I hadn't seen any prior notification the O&A layout had been changed so didn't see the new location. it was unexpected & in my eyes un-necessary. Your previous explanation was because the colour button (for button read adjustments) needed so much space because it contained 2 words, "WHY" surely colour would suffice. Making change after change is once more making the programme un user friendly. I'm a regular user making changes to basic features such as the O&A screen needs a lot of thinking about & notification of the change before it happens. Lin, just sit back chill out & stop being so defensive, I'm using the programme to make shows, not tearing the heart out of it looking at obscure problems that maybe 5% of users may use. I've reported a basic problem I have with it, or will it be just another case of "Oh it's only Eric, just ignore him & he'll go away?"EricYachtsman1. :(/>
Antbrewer
Eric,Please don't think I am being patronising in saying this but we have to accept 'change'. Sometimes it is clearly not for the better and we moan about it. That is fine. However with PtE advancing at the rate that it is and knowing that Igor and his team are endeavouring to produce software for ALL users it is pushing your luck to expect him to anticipate and predict how often each of us use which facilities and which buttons, ie Colour button, The O&A window hasn't changed that much over the last few versions and we just need to 'look' at the whole window and find what we need. You have been using PtE for some considerable time I believe so you are familiar with the general layout. I understand from your previous posts that you haven't always downloaded the most recent versions when they have been posted so that might be an idea to do in future and then the 'changes ' wont be so much of a shock to you and annoying as it seems to be.I'm sure you'll get used to it. But just be ready for more changes because I'm certain there will be .Anthony

IMO Wnsoft are being waylayed attending to trivialities that only people with big sticks use.Regards EricYachtsman1.
jevans
I think Eric has a good point. If you want to change the opacity of an object, the drop-down box appears opposite the "Blur" adjustment button. Obviously the user knows that they are trying to change the opacity, but at a quick look, it appears that you are adjusting the blur. However there is a limited amount of space for the toolbar and you would not want to reduce the area for adding additional images/objects
