Slide Style duration

Most of my custom created styles are very simple without key frames. After applying my style I have to reset the duration of the slide back to the original duration (example is a video slide). I click on the full duration link before applying the style but it does not change duration. I don't know how to set the style duration equal to the duration of the slide. Maybe add new option for style duration to be equal to duration of slide when creating style (unless there is already some way to set this).
