PGA
Denis,I confirm this on my system, too.regards,Peter
Gérard de Lux
Why should it work?I don't think that it's good to have upper-case letters in any program or function of a program.
denisb
I don't know if it's good, i just want to do like Wnsoft do.The style category begin with an upper-case letter, the style name itself begin with an upper-case letter. If i look at the French translation, style category and style name begin with an upper-case letter.I just want to change "neige" by "Neige"In order to do that, i change "neige" to Dummy and then change "Dummy" to "Neige", so i don't need that change, i know how to do. In program or function of a program, or constant or variable or class, it depends of what programming language you use.Denis
davegee
If you apply a style you can then CREATE a style from it?You can then give it a different or variant name.DG
denisb
Of course, I can, and as the name seems to be not case sensitive,PTE ask me if i want to replace style "neige" by style "Neige". For PTE it's the same style.I know three methods to do what i want. I can also change the name in the xml file.It was just a surprise for me that the style name doesn't change when i change it for a valid name.It seems that i am alone to think it is a problem. So it's normal. May be an administrator can close "ranaming slide style"Denis
wideangle
Is it more than a PTE problem? Is it the same situation in Windows file renaming?RegardsWideangle
davegee
Can you please post the style?DG
denisb
hello Dave,it's not a problem of my style.Try to rename your style ARTY BORDER to Arty Border and you will see.It is not renamed without any comment of PTE.Denis
KSG
Hello, Denis. You are right. There is no renaming styles or categories with the same words but the other case. This behavior was done intentionally, but we think over to use a case-sensitive renaming.Best regards, Grey.

davegee
Hi Denis,You probably will not like my method/workaround?B)/>1. Backup the style that you want to rename by EXPORTING it.2. Apply the style to an image or images.3. DELETE the Style.4. Create (recreate) the Style from the applied style. You can rename it and it will accept the new name - there is nothing there to overwrite.DG
PGA
Dave,Why make things so complicated? Simply rename abcd to wxyz and then rename wxyz to ABCD. Job done!regardsPeter
