MUR Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 I've never used Video Builder before, but in trying, at the stage of conversion to MPEG2, only reach 99% and eventually says thar there are problems with the directory. I can use the disk into the computer and the files are there, but the DVD player for the TV does not recognize it. I tried to use the lowest recording speed , but is the same. What am I doing wrong? tom95521 Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Hi MUR,What version of PTE.How large is your DVD project?Do you have enough free space on your hard drive?Does it work if you create ISO instead of DVD (open ISO with Media Play Classic Home Cinema)? This might help.http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6880-got-burned-at-99/MPCHChttp://mpc-hc.org/Tom Quote
davegee Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 MUR,Untick everything other than ISO and try to burn the ISO.Then, as Tom said, try to play the ISO in MPC.Then try to burn the ISO using something like Roxio.DG Quote
MUR Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 Hi PTE 8.0.5Proyect 359 MBNo problem with space in hard driveISO with ImgBurn, works, but the quality of images es poor.MUR Quote
davegee Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 Mur,Can you play mpeg4 on your tv?Assuming that your images are ok and you have prepared your project correctly for Videobuilder, then the quality of your DVD player could be less than optimal. The ideal player for acceptable results is an upscaling or blueray player connected to the tv by hdmi cable.Describe your system?DG Quote
Ken Cox Posted August 28, 2014 Report Posted August 28, 2014 the last dvd player I bought was a basic Toshiba -- Nov 2011 -- as far as I remember, pretty well all thee name brand's at the time were upscalingseehttp://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.htmlhttp://www.videohelp.com/ken Quote
tom95521 Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 Hi MUR,It may not fix your 99% directory problem but I would upgrade to the latest version of PTE (8.0.6). It has an update for DVD playback. Mpeg-2 resolution for DVD is lower than HD video (720 or 1080). Make sure your DVD project bitrate is set to 9800 kbps for highest quality video.http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?/topic/17226-picturestoexe-8/?p=119327Tom Quote
