Igor Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Hi, I'd like to start this new poll to compare with previous poll. Please reply on one question how often you burn DVD or create ISO images in PicturesToExe? Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 I burned one yesterday & bought 10 discs for possible orders from family. Probably around 10 per year at least. I don't burn ISO's.Yachtsman1 Quote

David Porter Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Maybe 3 or 4 a year. I create iso images and burn from there with Image Burn. Quote
davegee Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Never create DVD - I sometimes create ISO and use third party s/w to burn it.DGAmended post to clarify. Quote
Limey Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 I do all of my DVD burning with PTE including ISO produced with other programs.Limey Quote

Gerhard Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 I have been using PTE only since about three years. I make new shows by burning DVD´s in PTE and remake shows created with other software by burning DVD´s in PTE. So I create about 2 DVD´s a month. I don´t burn ISO´s.Greetings from Berlin,Gerhard Quote
jak101 Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 I make a DVD every time I ,make a slide show. The inclusion of the ability is an important reason I use PTE. Quote
denisb Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 I never burn DVD.I need mp4 and for my TV m2ts Quote
jeanhum Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Don't burn DVD anymoreonly create exe and mp4 files Quote
jevans Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Useful to have this facility but I seldom use it now Quote
Barry Beckham Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 IgorI am sure your aware of this, but PTE enthusiasts are probably less likely to use the DVD option than casual users. I think casual users also probably make up the majority of PTE users. Quote
johnlaptop17@hotmail.co.uk Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 Only the odd one or two each year. Had too many failures when making them in the early days for whatever reason (possibly mine). No real need to produce DVDs. (Casual user) Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 If I remember correctly, the last time this question was asked was because Wnsoft were considering withdrawing the facility due to the cost.I have a car, I use it every almost every day, I don't do much night driving now so rarely use the lights. The same thing applies with the radio, would I buy a car without either? no. The main opposition to PTE provide the facility, in my opinion to withdraw it would be a retrograde step.Yachtsman1. Quote
wideangle Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Totally agree with you on this one, Eric. Also, Barry has summed it up by saying that casual users are most likely to be the ones who create DVDs, and that casual users are also the biggest users of PTE. They are the bread and butter users.(You are unlikely to get a very accurate picture from this poll as the majority of casual users are not likely to reply anyway, and probably don't even look at this forum.)RegardsWideangle Quote
JudyKay Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 I used to do some. Haven't in a long time. Probably never will again. Quote
Lin Evans Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Even though I personally don't create many DVD's, if there is any hope of capturing the wedding photography business in the USA, both DVD and BluRay are going to be necessary features in future PTE versions. Event photographers deliver their product via CD or DVD and a product which didn't have that capability would be severely criticized and probably not used even though there are third party softwares which can be used to achieve this end with PTE. A one stop product will be much preferred.Best regards,Lin Quote
Lin Evans Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Hi Laszio,If you could copy your response and move it to "Troubleshooting" I think we can answer your question there. This actually is just a poll for Igor and to get into details of issues would be moving away from the original intent. Essentially, to see the audio from a video on the timeline the video needs to be entered as an audio - I'll explain how if you move the post then we can delete this post and your original here and continue with working out the problem there. Thanks,Lin Quote
JEB Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Sometimes (6 or so times a year) if I have to. But I hate the whole process for some reason! Just me I'm sure. I don't find it very intuitive I'm afraid. Too many techie options that need basic explanation in my opinion.John Quote
