Laszlo K Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 This is going back to several versions. When I try to use drop shadow with any of the objects on the menu page and that could be thumbnail or text they are really off when the project is burned so all looks like a mess. I have gone down to 1 and 1 in the settings with all possible variations and still a mess. so at this point I totaly disabled them.Is there any secret formula? I like drop shadows.Laszlo Quote
wideangle Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 I can confirm this - I've just recently come across the same problem.RegardsWideangle Quote
Igor Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Please tell me how to reproduce this problem?By default the DVD menu already add shadow to all objects (thumbnails, title, etc) Quote
Laszlo K Posted October 20, 2014 Author Report Posted October 20, 2014 Hi IgorHere are two screen shots. One is the setting I did because the default is really far off and not in proportion on the end result. What you see in the settings window is NOT identical to what you will end up on the disk as you can see it on the menu page.Laszlo Quote
Igor Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Hello Laszlo,I confirm this problem. I see it only with NTSC (4:3 / 16:9) and PAL 16:9. PAL 4:3 seems to be OK.We'll try to fix this problem soon.Thank you! 1 Quote
Igor Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Laszlo,Wideangle,Please try the new test version:http://www.wnsoft.com/files/test/picturestoexe-setup-807-beta.exeIf everything is OK, I'll publish it later as official v8.0.7 with other improvements. Quote
Laszlo K Posted October 21, 2014 Author Report Posted October 21, 2014 It is much better Igor. Here is the result of two slightly different settings. Obviously the drop shadow should be set differently for different size of objects but I did not do it for the sake of unity.Laszlo Quote
Igor Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Laszlo,I'm afraid we can't do more with the old code of VideoBuilder.Later we plan to completely rewrite DVD output and add new features. Quote
Laszlo K Posted October 22, 2014 Author Report Posted October 22, 2014 This is a lot better as you can see yourself. Thanks for looking into it. Since I had come in to PTE from video I'm used to create menus but I doubt that many people do it. They might burn a DVD but creating menus of multiple shows is another story. What I'm saying it is not really important to re do the Video builder for dropshadow when otherwise it is working fine..Thanks for your attention.Laszlo Quote
Igor Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Laszlo,I'm glad that you discovered that problem! It was very important to fix the main problem with size/position of shadows.I hope that we will able to rework VideoBuilder and add Blu-ray support. Quote
wideangle Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Thanks Igor.Mine is better now too.(Yes it only happened with Pal 16:9)Regardswideangle Quote
