trailertrash Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 I have a slide I want to rotate on its left hand edge. I don't want the left hand edge in the centre of the window ie -100%I remember being able to move the little dot to the left or right without moving the object [image ]Can this still be done.Andrew Quote
Lin Evans Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Hi Andrew,Hold down the keyboard "Shift" key first and move your mouse cursor to the little dot in the center bounded by green (the center mark) and you will see a small square appear as the cursor reaches the center mark. Continue holding down the shift key, depress and hold the left mouse key and drag the center dot wherever you wish visually.Best regards,Lin 1 Quote
trailertrash Posted October 25, 2014 Author Report Posted October 25, 2014 I seem to have found it in the help forum However it doesn't say how to move the wee dot by hand [ mouse ] Quote
trailertrash Posted October 25, 2014 Author Report Posted October 25, 2014 Thanks Lin. That's what I wanted. Quote
davegee Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 OK,I can add that.Thanks,DGP.S. On a general note, please note that the Online Help uses USA English (as does this forum) and searching on "CENTRE" produces a negative result, wheras searching on "CENTER" produces the correct result. MUR Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Hi allOK, I know that for images, but how can I move the center of rotation of a frame?MUR Quote
davegee Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Shift+Mouse Click also works for a Frame.Wait until the pointer changes appearance before clicking.DG Quote
Lin Evans Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Hi Mur,As David says, it works the same way for a frame. Keep in mind that if the frame has a child, that child will be affected by moving the center of a frame. If you move the center of a frame when there are children of that frame, they too will move depending on the position of the center. It may "appear" that the center of the frame isn't moving, but it is if you watch the center graphic.Best regards,Lin Quote
davegee Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Lin,Add a child frame to the parent frame and reverse the offset with the Pan controls?Add images to the child.DG Quote
MUR Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 Thanks, that is my problem, when move the frame center also move the child. I need to plan in advance and arrange the frames and later add the children.best regardsMUR Quote
davegee Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 Mur,If you want to add another frame to the top of the stack just add an independent frame and copy/paste the original (complete with any child images) to it. Then delete the original.DG Quote
MUR Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 Hi allSometimes to modify an existent slide, I move the center of the parent frame, then the center of child frames (if any), and finally the images.I use the grid as reference.MUR Quote
