Guest Yachtsman1 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Sorry you haven't received any replies to your query, usually at least one person will reply. In this instance the error code you are getting may just be happening on your set up. You need to be more explicit in your explanation, include a screen shot of the error & explain exactly when it happens & what your hardware is. I'm sure someone will come up with something. PGA Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 That error could, perhaps, be caused by your filename having "non-standard" characters. Make sure you are using only alphabetic and numeric characters and try again. Quote
Igor Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 Chris,Please let me know - what name of your source video file? Please copy/paste this name with you reply here. Thanks, Quote
Chris4137 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Report Posted November 15, 2014 Hi and thanks for your interest,Here is the error message I can see after each application to Videoconverter (by Optimisation or Convert vidéo) for any video files (with any codecs) on my PC (windows 7 and PTE 8 0 7 ).RegardsChris Quote
Lin Evans Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 Chris, it's imperative that you give Igor the actual precise filename of your video file. The error may be caused by the name of your file. Igor doesn't need to see the error message but he does need to have you copy/paste the file name of your video here. The error message you are seeing is telling you that there are improper (illegal) characters in the file name. If you do nothing else, rename the video to something like "test.avi" or "test.mov" or "test.mp4" or whatever format file you are submitting to the converter. If you rename your video file then try to convert it we can determine whether the original name has characters which are not accepted.Best regards,Lin Quote
Chris4137 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Report Posted November 15, 2014 HelloThanks Lin but I don't make yourself understood (sorry for my english..)This problem appears with all video files even if I rename them and I have'nt any problem using an other PC.RegardsChris Quote
nobeefstu Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 Chris,Since this is happening with all video files ... I would first recommend re-installing your program version of PTE and test again Video converter function. Its remotely possible something went amiss at initial install. Quote
Chris4137 Posted November 15, 2014 Author Report Posted November 15, 2014 Thanks Nobeefstu and all participants. After a second try to reinstall PTE, this time from a new download on webside Wnsoft the videoconverter works correctly.Thank you all.Chris Quote
