Hello

Just playing around with adding video clips to PTE and came across this situation :

1. Started a blank project

2. Added a 5 minute mp4 video clip

3. PTE asked if I wanted to convert it - I chose Yes.

4. Repeated steps 2 and 3 for another three mp4 clips, each between 3 an 5 mins in length.

PTE completed the conversions of all four clips but here's the thing. It automatically replaced the fourth clip in my sequence with its converted version.

The first three clips in the project were left as my original versions.

(All four clips were shot at the same time in the same way}

My question is why?

What is the point of recommending that a clip be converted but then not using it?

(I'm just curious rather than desperate to get an answer, as the project wasn't important)

Wideangle,

I found this problem a week or so ago and pointed it out to Igor.

The V8.0.13 which will be released tomorrow (?) will cure it. I have tried a beta version and it solves it completely.

BTW, try clicking on the first clip and Shift/Ctrl Clicking on the last and drag them all into the slidelist in one action. You will find that you only get one offer of Conversion but all are converted and will replace the originals automatically.

Thanks for that davegee

As a matter of routine I would normally do what you suggested in the last point, but, as I say, I was just playing about, and stumbled on the anomoly.
