Can only open saved PTE file from "open recent project" in dro

I'm using version 8 after recently updating, and windows vista. Its 3 years since I last did a project with version 6.5, and I feel sure I didn't have this problem. Any ideas please?

It is probably the file associations in Windows. Do you have the .pte file extension properly associated with the PTE program?

Thank you for the instruction davegee, they have solved the problem, I have re-loaded a project which had been cleared from the " recently opened " list, which i wanted to do some more work on. File, open and browse is so obvious now I could kick myself for not thinking of it!!!

I did look at that and the file association said unknown, and Pictures to exe wasn't in the "browse" list. However the problem has been resolved by davgee's advice and in a very simple way.

As I am not familiar with how this forum works can I thank everybody who replied and say this problem is resolved. Thank you . Jan
