Hi all:

These are two techniques that most of you must know, but repeat them not hurt anyone:

1- To position an image or text, precisely, on a screen, you can use the arrow keys, but one unit at a time and that movement may be too much. If you drag with the mouse, the object, close to its final place, immediately the keyboard arrows can be used to move only one-eighth unit (0.125) each click, which is sufficient in most cases (use the view to 200%). The movement with the mouse must be diagonal to activate the 4 arrows.

This option will be disabled with most subsequent actions.

2- Use "scale" in text, works on the entire block. It depends on the number of lines to keep the same font size. You can create a block with about 10 short lines with any text and give all font setting, color, etc.

Every time you need to insert a text, instead of going in O & A, add-text, copy and paste this block, delete the dumb text and insert new, size and other characteristics of the source, remain regardless of the number of lines.

Mur,

Regarding your first point.

If the cursor is in one of the pan boxes then you are adjusting in increments of 1%.

If you click on the image/object (I do not think that you need to move it) then a single click on one of the four arrows will move the image/object the equivalent of 1 pixel (in percentage terms).

The percentage value will change according to the Aspect Ratio chosen.

If you observe both the POSITION and the PAN boxes you will see what I mean.

Another thing to try (and compare): for a 4:3 project try using 1600x1200 resolution compared to any other resolution you wish to choose and compare what you see in the POSITION and PAN boxes when using the arrow keys.

The OPTIMUM** resolution for a 4:3 project is (I think) 1600x1200 With Regard To using the arrow keys for positioning.

Example:

In a 4:3 1600x1200 Project, 1 pixel in the Position Box = 0.125% in the Pan Box (Horizontal Axis).

In a 4:3 1600x1200 Project, 1% in the Pan Box = 8 Pixels in the Position Box (Horizontal Axis)

The OPTIMUM for 16:9 is 1920x1080.

The OPTIMUM for 3:2 is 1800x1200.

OPTIMUM** - when 1 click of the Arrow Key = 1 Pixel in the POSITION box.
