jt49 Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 It seems that the forum software does not show the correct number of views of topics but stays at the value of 0 as long as there are no replies. The correct number comes in after the first reply (bug or feature?).Regards,jt Quote

I seem to remember he said it was a quirk in the software, maybe the same one that doesn't remember me & I have to log in manually?Yachtsman1. Quote
Igor Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 jt, It seems to be a bug in the forum software (Invision Power Board). There is a completely new version 4.0.x of IPB. I can upgrade the forum software to this new version. However the design of v4.0 looks completely different:https://community.invisionpower.com/ Will all users accept it? Quote
davegee Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 Igor,It would probably take up some of your time adjusting and getting it to work. Why not leave that until after Version 9 is published??DG Quote
Guest Yachtsman1 Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 IMO there will be enough changes to cope with in the new version without having to cope with forum changes.Yachtsman1. Quote
Ken Cox Posted September 29, 2015 Report Posted September 29, 2015 IF YOU make change now -- can you change it backif you change now possibly we will bugs out before 9ken Quote
jt49 Posted September 29, 2015 Author Report Posted September 29, 2015 .... There is a completely new version 4.0.x of IPB. I can upgrade the forum software to this new version ....Why not, sooner or later! You may follow the advice of davegee (if I am allowed to say this )...However the design of v4.0 looks completely different:https://community.invisionpower.com/ Will all users accept it?Some users will bother about the bugs in the old version, some will complain about the new design. So do whatever you like to do.Regards,jt Quote
Barry Beckham Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 I think all computer software makers ought to understand that most users don't want continual change, just a little stability. Quote
Igor Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 I think we can wait until v9.0 is ready and then we can do the upgrade. Quote
Ken Cox Posted September 30, 2015 Report Posted September 30, 2015 will that be after the first betaorafter the finished product??????????ken Quote
