Perspective Effects in PTE

My take on an effect which has become fashionable with the BBC. With a little imagination and reasonable Photoshop skills you can isolate an object or person from the BG and create a 3D effect. This example uses two unrelated images.

Unzip the file, open the PTE File and run in Preview.

Tip: Take either slide into O&A and click on "Frame1" on the RHS.

Place the mouse cursor inside the "bounding box", click and "wiggle it around" to see extra effects.

The changes which make it possible are in the Z Control of 3D Parameters.

Hi Gary,

Here's another show using that technique. There was sporadic interest in doing this many years ago but it was never really discussed much. Thanks to Dave it's revived. Jean Cyprien uses similar techniques in a number of his shows which really demonstrate the power of this as well.

Brilliant effect. When you post things like this I get really excited because it sows the seeds of what can be done.

You always kick start ideas I probably couldn't come up with on my own but I certainly now have an idea to work on and will almost certainly try that effect in future slideshows.

Dave & Lin,

I enjoyed your examples of pseudo 3-d motion in your AV shows.    Here is another example in a show I put together some time ago after a trip to the southern USA.    I used this technique several times in the show, and IMHO, it adds a bit of variety to what would have been an otherwise more boring presentation.   (by the way, it's 63 Mb in size).
