Barry Beckham Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 Can I have your ideas on the cause of this please:- Someone who downloads a slide show using Windows XP and it plays sound only. Can't say I have ever experienced that The person has downloaded it again to side step any download glitch and I have downloaded and tested the slide show myself and it plays fine He is unable to try it on another machine where I expect it would work and confirm whatever the issue is, its on his machine. I haven't asked what resolution he is running, that thought just came to me as I was typing this. Any ideas gratefully recieved Quote
Igor Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Hi Barry, If I understood rightly, that user can see only a black screen? This problem may happen under Windows XP with a very old video card (64 MB of video memory), manufactured 10-12 years ago. In System requirements for PicturesToExe we ask 128 MB or more. Already many years video cards offer at least 512 MB, 1 GB or even 2 GB of video memory. Quote
Barry Beckham Posted December 21, 2015 Author Report Posted December 21, 2015 Thanks Igor I have already replied and suggested he upgrade video card drivers, but even that may not help in this situation. Thank you I will pass this along. Quote
Igor Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Barry, We had many years a mid-level video card (very cheap), ATI Radeon 9600 which was purchased almost 12 years ago. It already had 128 MB of video memory. And it still can work with PicturesToExe 8.0. Quote
