gogs Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 would it be possible to have a small free text window in the layer style window. This would be helpful where styles require multiple images. Pictures to Exe users who currently create such styles often give some instructions on the forum when they post the style. However when you import the style you don't see this information unless you refer back to the forum or save the information elsewhere. This would be particularly beneficial if you wanted to apply the style again so that the pattern could be noted e.g. Insert slides to slide window ion the following pattern 1,2,2,3,3,4,4,etc. Gogs Quote
Lin Evans Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Hi Gogs, Do you mean in addition to the instructions given when a style is selected? Beside the style there is a number representing the number of images needed. Then to the right as seen in the example below, if you have made a mistake in the number of image selected - you will be notified before applying the style??? Quote
davegee Posted February 21, 2016 Report Posted February 21, 2016 Lin, I agree with Gogs, there are instructions in some cases where the "order" for instance needs to be explained. I made this suggestion to Igor a long time ago but it was not taken up. DG Quote
smithrg Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 I too, agree with Gogs and Dave, it's sometime not easy to keep up with the extra instructions for styles. smithrg Quote
gogs Posted February 22, 2016 Author Report Posted February 22, 2016 Hi Lin Yes it was more to do with the order (or pattern) images need to be placed in the slide view window when you want to repeat a multi image style immediately after itself. Dave has always given some instruction on how to do this when posting styles on the forum but once the style is imported this is not included unless you saved it to notepad or something and filed it away. A free text area like this might help. Gogs Quote
gogs Posted February 22, 2016 Author Report Posted February 22, 2016 Hi guys You will note from the image posted above that my way of getting round this at the moment is to rename the style and add the pattern for placing slides in the slide view window in brackets after the name of the style. But this is rather limiting. Gogs Quote
