iPad question Solved with reservation

Robert, it is an archive button and send you message to an archive instead of deleting it.

It might be a useful feature on my wife's iPad.

When you' r in you mail, click on the 3 horizontal lines on the left top.  This brings you to files for  saving/archiving your messages.

You must first allocate the email message a label. For example you create a label called "Friends". Then add this label to an email from one of your friends. Click the archive button and the email will move to a folder called "Friends". This is how gmail works anyway.

I still don't have a clue where my accidentally archived email went.
