Slide style for several slides

I need help for PTE V8 / V9

How can I apply one slide style to a selection of several slides of the slide list (selected by STRG + left mouse click) without changing the original  location of the slides in the slide list ?

This question certainly has been answered before - but I couldn't find the answer.

Basically, in 2013 Igor said that:

The reason of this behaviour of PicturesToExe in a fact that style may include a group of slides. Example of such style - are templates ...............So if you select slides 1, 3, 5, 6, PicturesToExe will change their order to unite them into one group.

Nothing has changed, as far as I know.
