Igor Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Hi, One user reported me about a problem with a playback of MP4 video created in PTE 9 and copied to USB drive connected to his TV. He can hear a short sound "click" or noise during first 1 second of playback. I don't observe this problem with my LG TV. Can you check with your TV, please? MP4 video, 1920 x 1080, High Quality, 30p. Quote
davegee Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 Hi Igor, I just made a new MP4 with those settings in 9.0.5 and heard no Click or error sound. DG Quote
denisb Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Hi Igor, I put my mp4 (34) on an usb key and read them on Blu-ray disc player. No problem with the sound. I try to extract the aac sound from the video (audacity and ffmpeg) and see nothing on the wave. Denis Quote
Barry Beckham Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Igor Just tried a 60p Mp4 on my own TV, but because my TV is 9 years old I have to play the USB through a small media box. It played OK, but I did notice that the image on the TV screen over spilled the edges. Losing a bit of the content Quote
davegee Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Barry, That is a feature of your media box. A media player on a more recent tv will play the full resolution when playing from usb. A new BD player will do the same thing as your media box - tv safe zone. DG Quote
Barry Beckham Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 It very well could be that, I have had that player a while to. I have tried the video on a more modern TV, but it says it's not supported. Probably because I made it 60p. When I get back to my PC I will make a standard video and try that Quote
Barry Beckham Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Later. A 30p MP4 plays perfectly on a more modern TV direct from the USB stick. Full screen, no loss Quote
davegee Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 My Sony TV supports 60fps MP4 with no problem. DG Quote
Igor Posted March 28, 2017 Author Report Posted March 28, 2017 Barry, Some TVs don't support playback of video files at 60p. Probably the User manual of a TV declares supported video formats. Quote
Barry Beckham Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Igor user manual ?????? I am an English male, we don't read manuals we get frustrated, then annoyed and the wife reads the manual and tells us what to do Quote
