The Peeg Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 Is it possible to have a slides title come up on an image for a set time and then disappear to leave the image with out the title? I can see that I can show it on the slide and as far as I can work out it will stay on there for the duration of the slide. Quote
orizaba Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 Use keyframes to fade-in / fade-out the title, using opacity 0 to 100 and 100 to 0. Quote
Lin Evans Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 The templates which allow pulling EXIF information and displaying on your slide are like any other object, they can be easily manipulated in the Objects List in Objects and Animations. Highlight the "Text Comment" in the Object's List Then create two additional keyframes and set the second keyframe to 100% and the third keframe to zero. The file name will then fade out completely between the second and third keyframes. See video below: Lin fadeslidename.wmv Quote
Ronniebootwest Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 Why not just create 3 slides of an image and place the title on the the centre image, then add all 3 to the timeline and fade them in/out as normal? Quote
davegee Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 The short answer is that, no, you cannot do exactly what you want. This Style will do it for the "MAIN IMAGE TITLE" where the Main Image Title is the Slide Name. If you change the SLIDE NAME in SLIDE OPTIONS the Style will still show the Main Image Name. Caption Image Name.ptestyle If you are prepared to do it on a Slide by Slide basis then there are plenty of preset options in Styles / Captions where you can automatically add your own Caption to a Slide when applying the Style. Barry Beckham Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 If the object of the exercise is to use a text template, then perhaps there is a way to do it, but it's a work around using two versions of the image in a slide style. Sandwich the text template between two identical images and instead of fading text up and down as we would normally do. Fade the top image down to show the text template and fade it back up to hide the text. Image Title with template Quote

Barry Beckham Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 Presumably, if we are in fact talking about applying a template, then it's reasonable to assume that we are not talking of a simple project title, but maybe naming...many hundreds of images automatically. In that case, the three slide method, which in fact started life with slide tape and is a good option, could be quite painful In fact I don't know why I used two images above. The slide styles works OK with just the text template inserted Template fade on and off Quote
Lin Evans Posted April 5, 2017 Report Posted April 5, 2017 LOL - if the OP wasn't confused in the first place, I'm certain he is now.... Lin Quote
Lin Evans Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 Hi Barry, Good explanation and helpful way of demonstrating how a quick style can be quite useful in doing what the OP appears to want to be able to do. Best regards, Lin Quote
Barry Beckham Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 Well, It helped me too because the question triggered an idea. The hardest part in a club situation is getting members to label their images correctly That might not be as easy as it should be. Quote
wideangle Posted April 6, 2017 Report Posted April 6, 2017 Good stuff. "A picture is worth a thousand words"! Regards wideangle Quote

Barry Beckham Posted April 7, 2017 Report Posted April 7, 2017 Well, thank you all for the kind comments, but its what I have been doing for many years now. I just wonder why the original questioner does not seem to have returned to check up on their question. Quote
