Video importing into VideoBuilder

I have rencently purchased VideoBuilder and am looking to import existing video files into the product of which I am having trouble with formats. I understand the restrictions in file size e.g. 100Mb but a number of file types e.g. .mov and .m4v are not being accepted. What is the ideal video file format I should be importing for 1080 output combined with a .mp3 file which imports fine?
