I really did not know how bad this spyware problem was until I downloaded"

spyware search & destroy

After the first search the software found over 100 spyware stuff.

Now when I check it usually finds on the average of 9-17

I also downloaded spyblaster of which it somehow has a list of spyware stuff, like 2917 in its data base that I assume it is protecting me.

But is more then one too much?

What do you think, anyone let me know.

I choose, except for the Surfer II, to work manually every moring. I have found that too much stuff in the task bar will slow the computer.

I read an article comparing some and they liked Spywaret Search and Destroy the best. I run it once in a while, but not daily or something. I can't imagine that more than one would hurt, but I don't know how much it would help either.

Oops. I just did a search and the name is Spybot, not Spyware. Search for

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.3

on the internet and there are many many places to get it for free. Download.com or tucows.com are a couple.

If you simply run a spyware program, it won't be a problem.

If you run one, then another, no problem.

If you have them active all the time, checking everything you do, then they will use RAM, CPU cycles and slow your computer down.

So, don't run them continuously.
