MUR Posted November 11, 2017 Report Posted November 11, 2017 Hi Is there any way to know that the PTE file that I intend to open, is already open ?, and avoid making modifications in two different copies, which is quite a problem to consolidate them. MUR Quote
shirleyhogan Posted November 11, 2017 Report Posted November 11, 2017 I would like to know the answer to this as well. Quote
Igor Posted November 13, 2017 Report Posted November 13, 2017 MUR, Do you mean one computer? And a situation when you have several instances of PicturesToExe running together? Quote
MUR Posted November 15, 2017 Author Report Posted November 15, 2017 Hi Igor Sometimes I open a project and modify or add something and I hide it, with the box (-) in the upper right corner of the screen , I continue working on other sub projects, Then I decide to go back to the initial project, but I forget that it is open and I open it again and I add something and I hide it. When I am going to save the additions or modifications, I have two files with the same name and different content. MUR Quote
Igor Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 MUR, I'm afraid there is no simple solution. You can check it only manually. Quote
MUR Posted November 17, 2017 Author Report Posted November 17, 2017 Thanks Igor A warning like "That file is already open" is not possible? MUR Quote
jkb Posted November 17, 2017 Report Posted November 17, 2017 Mur, you should be able to see in the windows task bar how many copies of PTE you have open. You can then check each one to see if the project is already open. Jill Quote
MUR Posted November 18, 2017 Author Report Posted November 18, 2017 Yes jkb, I know that, but........ MUR Quote
Ilario Posted November 25, 2017 Report Posted November 25, 2017 I had have the same problem and I lost two hours of work; this happens if, for example, enter into other applications still leave open the program and when you come back you forget that you had already opened. I know that it's possible to manage it manually but a "Warning" as MUR suggested should made more "user friendly" the programm. Ilario Quote
