goddi Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 Greetings, To add to Tom's recent suggestion for the Video Converter, I'd like to suggest that we have the ability to use the Trim function without having to re-convert the video. Each time a video is Converted, the Mbps bitrate can change (decreases). Sometimes you might want to do a bit of additional trimming after the initial Convert process but don't want to have the bitrate changed. Gary Quote
tom95521 Posted November 27, 2017 Report Posted November 27, 2017 That is a good idea. Other programs like VideoRedo and Bandicut allow you to trim at keyframes without encoding again. If the trim point is not at a keyframe it only encodes the section between the frame and keyframe and then joins them together. I was hoping the graphics hardware could encode in video converter application to speed things up but I believe the GPU encoders only work on H.264 and H.265, not MPEG-4 codec. Tom Quote
