peterf Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 When I drag an mp4 from the file list to the slide list, it says converted file cannot be found. When I check in Windows explorer, I can see and play the converted avi. Quote
davegee Posted September 10, 2018 Report Posted September 10, 2018 Something seems to have gone wrong during the conversion. Try deleting the converted file in Explorer. Right click on the original in PTE and then convert WITHOUT modification. Wait for the converter to finish. Does the thumbnail of the converted file now look like the thumbnail of the original? peterf Posted September 10, 2018 Author Report Posted September 10, 2018 Thanks for the reply. I have used the Mp4 without modification abnd that works. I have used an external converter to change to avi, and that works as well. The file that shows the cannopt find file in the slide list does work in preview, but unfortuntely it is difficult to work with in objects and animation (to add a mask for example) as you are working blind. davegee Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 Peter, Can you make the mp4 available for someone to take a look at it? When you converted the mp4 in pte what modifications, if any, did you make? I have been using the converter in pte regularly, as have others, with no problems, so I don't think that the converter is the problem. Did you trim it etc? DG Quote
peterf Posted September 11, 2018 Author Report Posted September 11, 2018 I hve put it in my Dropbox, which I could share. I too have used the converter with no problem until now. I don't think I made any modifications. I have it set to convert automatically, and that's what I did. Quote
davegee Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 As I said above - delete the converted copy and try again. If it is still the same please post the DropBox Link? DG Quote
peterf Posted September 12, 2018 Author Report Posted September 12, 2018 I have deleted and re-converted several times to no avail. The link to the file is https://www.dropbox.com/s/vfszx57hirl9y2z/_dylan and Megan.mp4?dl=0 Thanks Quote
davegee Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 Peter, I get the same result as you. If you look at the properties of the MP4 it indicates that the frame rate is 3fps?? When I play the MP4 it just staggers along as though that indication is correct. Has it been through another conversion process at any time? If you are sure that it is the original straight out of camera then maybe you should suspect tat the camera had a little hiccup. More detail?? DG Quote
peterf Posted September 13, 2018 Author Report Posted September 13, 2018 It was created using Olympys Viewer as a time lapse, hence the jerky appearence. Could that be the problem. I've created a few others using Olympus Viewer with no problem. I have tried re-doing the Time lapse creation several times, with the same problems. Thanks Quote
peterf Posted September 14, 2018 Author Report Posted September 14, 2018 I think the problem is with the Olympus Software. If I convert the raw images to jpegs before making the timelapse, it works ok. Thanks for your patience. Peter Quote
