khunter Posted January 14, 2019 Report Posted January 14, 2019 The slideshow opens on my 2016 Mac but on a 2017 MAC the error message reads developer needs to update in order to open. Has anyone encountered this? Thoughts on how to fix?? Many thanks~ Quote
Igor Posted January 14, 2019 Report Posted January 14, 2019 Hi, I apologize for this problem. Apple recently decided to prohibit all 32-bit apps in future macOS version. This warning appears in macOS Mojave, but you still can run the show on Mac. We plan to release 64-bit version of PicturesToExe for Mac this year. We're working hard to relase new version as soon as possible. Quote
khunter Posted January 14, 2019 Author Report Posted January 14, 2019 Thanks Igor. Can you clarify, do you mean that it can be run on Mac as long as they are not using Mojave? Or are you saying that there is a warning but that it can still be run on Mojave? Thank you! Quote
Igor Posted January 14, 2019 Report Posted January 14, 2019 Executable shows for Mac should work up ti macOS 10.14 Mojave. On Mojave you'll see a warning regarding 32-bit app which appears only once for a first launched show, and will not appear again when you run this or another shows created in PTE 9. Quote
khunter Posted January 14, 2019 Author Report Posted January 14, 2019 I think I have an earlier version than PTE 9. Not sure which - updated in Feb 2017. So if I upgraded to 9, it would be viewable if I try to open it a second time? And if I upgrade to 9 now, would the coming upgrade be complimentary? Quote
Igor Posted January 15, 2019 Report Posted January 15, 2019 There is a solution for Mac shows created before PTE 9. Please read here: https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/topic/19917-solution-for-non-working-slideshows-on-macos-sierra-10122/ Quote
