Hi Folks - As you know, or will soon discover - PicturesToExe (PTE) is the award winning creation of Wnsoft LTD  which is the preferred tool by the vast majority of those competing in audio/visual competitions worldwide. It allows users to make incredibly good and sophisticated shows of their photographs and tell a story in pictures and music. It's value is unquestioned for conventional presentations. But PTE is also such a versatile tool that it can be used to create unconventional animations and allow the user to explore their imaginations. I don't have the talent to make award winning conventional shows myself, so I use PTE to create animated shows which would not be appropriate for competitions, but which are fun for me and may be fun for those who also have little interest in entering competitions. This compendium of links to some of my samples is of primary interest to those who just want to enjoy alternative uses of this amazing tool.

Thank for the links Lin.

I was amazed by the "What Can I Do" link. Did not realize this program could do all those things.

Wish there was a book or course that showed how to accomplish those advanced features.

Actually, though there isn't a book - all animation I create and ones used in my shows created by other users are explained in my video tutorials - look in the tutorials section under PTE Made Easy and you will find about 100 video tutorials covering most everything in these samples.

Greetings,

Talking about alternative uses of PTE, one of the more amazing uses of PTE, in my opinion, is what Jan Frojdman does. My favorite example is his 'Do It In a Basket'. What Lin and others do with PTE is way beyond where my imagination goes in using PTE.

It was discussed here in the PTE Forum:

His Vimeo page is:

Thanks guys - I made the links into an .rtf file so I can copy and past them for people considering PTE on other forums. Just thought it might be of interest to visitors to this forum who were either new users of PTE or considering it and might be interested in alternative uses for the program.

Best regards,

Greetings Lin,

Finding appropriate background music is always a challenge. I notice that, in your 'Lin’s Wedding Style Sample', you use a popular music selection. I was curious if this would pass the scrutiny of the AudibleMagic for content registration. When I tested your background music for this  show, it did not pass, 'Matches existing content from: WMG'. So I am wondering how Youtube has not dinged your posting. Is this background music actually registered to you or you're just lucky? Just curious if there is a way to not get YouTube upset with my background music choices. I usually run my music selections through the AudibleMagic site as a test just to avoid complications with YouTube or Facebook. Just wondering...

Lin,

Yes, but that has not stopped Facebook/YouTube from taking down postings that have copyrighted music. I thought that if it did not pass the AudibleMagic test, the posting would be/or asked to be removed. I even used a song from the YouTube Audio Library that was supposed to be useable but it rejected by AudibleMagic as copyrighted. So are you saying that we should be able to use any music in a show that  is posted on YouTube as 'fair use'?  I know this is a touchy subject but it seems to me kinda muddy. I didn't see any attribution for the music at the end of your show, which I thought was one of the requirements?

A decent film nothing more: Pte (Platinum Wings M.object and other) is d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t ecosystem for "slides" but in "movement". Still images with pan zoom fade etc. D-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t  of a movie or television. Slideshow, in other hand, as a  Classic Chamber Music, different other  musical "gender". Final Cut, for example, for movimaker. Pte and similar, again, for photographers. D-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t way for show. D-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t emotion because the "still" image from eye arrive at soul directly as an Espresso d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t  other beverage named "coffee". D-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t  the word around the World of homologated people. Homologated emotion. Homologated life: life? Good one, eh!

Gary,

If you email me at data2@lpbroadband.net I'll explain some things about this for you... This is really not the correct place to get sidetracked on issues of YouTube and copyright issues.

Best regards,
