Nottub Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 Hi All, I have come across an issue when adding a video from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone that Pictures to EXE cannot convert. In the 'Video Convertor' screen it reads 'Error'. I have tried various options in VLC Media Player to convert the file to different formats but the best I can achieve is an AVI file but with no sound. The original MP4 files are juddery at best. My Sony camera using MTS files works fine. Oh I'm running V8.0.17 Any thoughts. Thank you Nottub Quote
davegee Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 Download and TRY Version 9 for free. Maybe the problem has already been fixed? Latest version here:https://www.wnsoft.com/en/picturestoexe/ DG Quote
Igor Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 Please try HandBrake - a free open source video converter from France: https://handbrake.fr/ Personally I also use this great software program. A. If you plan to create a final show as an EXE file: In HandBrake: in Output Settings > Video tab > Video Codec > change "H.264" option to "MPEG-4". You can keep other options by default. It will create a video file optimized for PicturesToExe 9. B. If you plan to create a final movie in a HD file (MP4), keep all settings by default in Handbrake. Just adjust CRF parameter (lower is better quality), try to set CRF = 18. Quote
Nottub Posted March 6, 2019 Author Report Posted March 6, 2019 Thanks Igor, using Handbrake seemed to work if I set the Video to MPEG-4 and leaving the audio unaltered. Seems its the H264 it doesn't like. Many thanks for your help. Nottub Quote
