ADavidB Posted May 2, 2019 Report Posted May 2, 2019 If a slide is animated (zoom/pan/rotate) the animation also applies to any text added which is a nuisance. Is it possible to change this please? I just want a caption to pan across the picture without being changed by a zoom or pan! Quote
gogs Posted May 2, 2019 Report Posted May 2, 2019 Hi David In Objects and Animation have you added the text as a child object i.e. does the text look like it is nested under image object. If so it will move with the image. You should make sure that the text is a separate object like shown in the attached image. When adding the text in objects and animation make sure the image item is not highlighted before adding the text. Gogs Quote
jmG-06100 Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Hi David I also have a tendency to add unwanted "children" to my animated objects. When that happens, it is easy to cut the child (CTRL X) from the list at the bottom right, then click outside any object present in the view and then paste the child (CTRL V) so it becomes free without a parent. DavidB Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Many thanks for your help. I will see if I can manage to do what you suggest! David Quote
DavidB Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Having tried jmG's suggestion I have succeedede. I had no idea that it was possible to add text in any other way. As you suggested gogs it was indeed a child object. Fantastic. Thanks very much both of you. Quote
