Martin Wynne Posted June 19, 2019 Report Posted June 19, 2019 Hi, I'm producing a slideshow MP4 video file at 1920x1080 size, using PTE Deluxe 9. I have a folder full of the images. Some are 1920x1080, some are 1280x720. When I add them all to the video, the 1280x720 images are upscaled to 1920x1080. I would like those images, but only those, to be inserted at 100% 1280x720, with a dark grey background around them. I can't find the setting to ensure images are inserted at 100% of their true size and not upscaled. I'm obviously missing something. Thanks for any help. Martin. Quote
davegee Posted June 19, 2019 Report Posted June 19, 2019 Hi Martin, What you are seeing is the default behaviour when adding images to the Slide List - they will either Fit the Slide or Cover the Slide. https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/objectsandanimation_1/properties_tab?s[]=fit#common You could create a Style from one of your 1180x720 images resized manually and apply that to the rest. There is also the “Original Size” command. Right click on the “x” under Zoom in O&A Animation Tab. 100% refers to the resolution of a slide in PTE. What you want is "Original Size". https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/objectsandanimation_1/animation_tab?s[]=original#parameter_controls DG Quote
Martin Wynne Posted June 21, 2019 Author Report Posted June 21, 2019 Thanks Dave. I need to find out more about styles. So far I simply Select All in the file folder, then copy and paste into the empty story line. I expected to find some basic options for that process in the Project Options tab, that being the only one enabled when the story line is empty. There are 200 images, so setting each one separately would be very tedious. cheers, Martin. Quote
davegee Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Select all in the File List and Drag into the Slide List - or use the right click menu and ADD. You don't have to adjust them one at a time. You can select the ones that you want and apply a style to the selected slides. What is your Project Resolution? (1920x1080 or 1620x1080 etc). Are all of the smaller images the same resolution? - Sorry just saw the 1280x720 again. When preparing images I always make them at least the height of my Project (1080) and more if I want to zoom into them. If you want to make them smaller on screen for some reason it is better to let PTE do that for you. DG Quote
davegee Posted June 21, 2019 Report Posted June 21, 2019 Apply this style to set your 1280x720 px Images at Original Size. 66.667.ptestyle DG Quote
