I do not know how to use the "New Transition" command in timeline view.

Mur,

This command (or Ins hot key) moves next slide (with it's transition) to current cursor position.

How it can be used:

1. Set a very long duration for 1st slide (say 20 minutes).

2. Click Play button.

3. When you hear soundtrack you can press Ins key to add points of slides (transitions) according your music.

P.S. I moved your topic to the General Discussions, because this feature feature covers all previous versions of PTE.

Thanks to both of you for the question and then the answer, which gives me a (yet unknown) feature of PTE to use.

+2 on the thank you. Potentially a very useful tool.

This is what I have been doing for years, the whole time I've ever used PTE and its the same technique I used for slide tape as well.

Very good demonstration-- thanks. Also quite helpful that it includes a number of other useful tips along the way.
