Manual Show - Audio Comment

I need advice - for my manually controlled shows (mouse buttons) I need a function to start a defined Audio Comment when the slide appears .

I can't get that to work - neither in the PREVIEW nor in the EXE .

Is there a way to accomplish that ?

Make a one slide mp4 with the audio comment attached and use that in place of the original slide?

Hi,

Please precise what is wrong with the attached sound file to a specific view. For me, it's OK, with the buttons, or with right and left clics of the mouse.

See my example.   (Of course, it's not possible to have also a continous sound)

thanks for your proposal .

In the meantime I found a different workaround , which suits better for me and will allow to have a continuous sound in addition to the sound for predefined slides .

Method : the slides in question start the VLC media player (hidden) and produce the sound in addition to the continuous sound .

You may insert the audio clip into a particular slide as a video:

- Open PTE, insert a blank slide with the duration of your audio clip
- In the timeline (or using Project Options): Import the audio clip
- Export this "show" as an AVI of size 16x9 pixels
- Import the AVI into the particular slide of your manually controlled show (with continuous sound in the background)
- Put the video at a position outside the screen
- The audio clip will start together with your slide

thank you for your proposal . Your method is better than mine ( calling of VLC media player by a slide is not always predictable over time) .

Consequently  I am glad to use your method in one of my shows .
