HaroldB Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Igor,I realize why you made the display of the waveform optional. But if my method of working on a show is to add a slide or two at a time, then for long shows, it is a REAL PAIN having to reload the waveform often. Is it possible for you to keep the waveform around in memory as long as a given project is open? If PTE currently supports changing the contents of the music file while a project that uses that music file is open in PTE, then you could check the music files' sizes and timestamps to see if you have to read it from disk again. Otherwise all displays of the waveform after the first should come from the in-memory version. Harold Quote
Igor Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 I agree with you, but it will take additional time. I'll realize it in the next version. Also it will possible to show waveforms for all tracks. Quote
HaroldB Posted August 6, 2004 Author Report Posted August 6, 2004 I have been working with PTE more over yesterday. And this constant relatively slow refreshing of the waveform is what I would say my number one problem is. And that's with a short slideshow -- it would be TORTURE with a large slideshow!Harold Quote
