Sebastian Posted October 15, 2019 Report Posted October 15, 2019 I suggest an option to lower the volume of the background track during a video clip or slide automatically. For each video clip it should be possible to parameterize the percentage of lowering individually. It would be useful to link this function to the video clip instead to the audio track, because if the duration of the show is altered preceding to the clip, the lowering of the volume would stay with the clip. You could even think about it as linking the key points on the envelope to the video clip or slide instead to the audio clip. Quote
lhpict Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 I agree with Sebastian. It would eliminate a number of intermediate steps. Quote
jkb Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 I think this would be difficult to achieve automatically as every clip will be different depending on the level of sounds in the video, background sounds and what the author actually wants. It is quick and easy to do it manually and will be more accurate. Jill Quote
wideangle Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 Jill I agree with what you are saying. Regards wideangle Quote
jkb Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 What is really needed is a VU meter so we can easily see the overall level of the soundtrack. Jill Quote
lhpict Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 Any way, it would be useful for example in the Objects and animations part, if it would be possible to adjust the sound track embedded in the MP4 file. Quote
Sebastian Posted November 11, 2019 Author Report Posted November 11, 2019 Automatic lowering the volume of the background track during a video clip is implemented very neatly in Proshow Producer. The value of lowering can be set in preferences and can be overridden für each video clip individually. To me the most important point is that the lowering stays with the clip, no matter what is deleted or inserted from or to the left of the clip during the editing of the show. Quote
