Slide transition ?

Would someone please enlighten me as to what I’m doing wrong here? I want to display a few slides at the end of a presentation using the bottom to top slide effect. It works as it should in PTE but when I attempt to render it to video, each slide goes blank at the end of the transition and the first slide is displayed until the next transition starts. I am using PTE v4.20 and have also tried v4.30 beta 8, I think. I had a similar thing with the intro sequence where I used a few fades then a slide from right to left where the slide would go blank with v4.3 beta 7 or 8. I did the intro over in using v4.20 and it worked. It doesn’t seem to matter if I use customize slide or the effect tab panel in project control.

Correction:

At the end of each transition when the slide should hold, it blanks out and the previous slide is displayed until the next slide starts the transition.
