Auto-checking for updates, not working [SOLVED]

Now that "PTE AV Studio 10.0.2 is available", I expected to be advised automatically when loading PTE, since I have been using: "Main menu > Settings > Software updates: Auto-checking for updates = Yes".

Instead, I happened to check (just in case) the Auto Update feature: Main menu > Help > Check for Free Updates. The update worked fine, but not the auto-check feature.
Does it apply to "Check for New version" and not to "Check for Free Updates"?

Do I need to change some settings?

Auto update function checks the WnSoft website for a new version every 2 days to reduce server loading.

I have been too impatient this time.  Or, rather, lucky, to have checked that a new version was just released.

Same topic. I have reminder on my desktop pc to update to 10.0.03 but my laptop says I’m up to date with 10.0.02

For some reason, Windows use caching of recent requests. PTE will show available update tomorrow.

You can run Internet Explorer and clear history and cache. Then PTE will show available update immediatelly.

We'll try to improve it.

I fixed this issue.

Manually download again updated 10.0.3:

https://files.wnsoft.com/pteavstudio/pteavstudio-setup.exe

Future update 10.0.4 will arrive correctly without waiting.

Does Auto Update work correctly now?

No - I have Auto Checking ticked.

I have closed and re-opened PTE a few times today and did not get a notification.

If I go to Help / Check for Updates it correctly reports that one is available.

I will wait until tomorrow to see if an auto notification is received.

I keep getting notifications for each new version. Still on 10.01 as been working on a project and didn't want to change in the middle of it.

It tells me every couple if days that there is a new version and the version number changed each time a new one was released.

Will update next week when I get time.

Jill, I recommend to update PTE to latest version 10.0.5. It includes only bug-fixes and improves stability. You can always request me any original version, if necessary.
