Wayne
Ok, I have made my slideshow in the new p2e beta version. I have not yet "created" it to get the .exe file as I am trying to burn my shows to DVD to negate having to purchase a laptop/video projector for my seminars. When I have previewed the slideshow to my satisfaction, I click the "project options" button to add my music and synch slides to show for the length of the music. Satisfied with these results, I click the "video" button which brings up the AVI window. I click the "DVD" option, the interlaced video option, and have tried both selecting or not selecting the "for ulead DVD moviefactory" option. I then click "create AVI" and the "save as" window appears where I name the file and its location to be found. My only choice for the type of file to be saved as is ".ptev" and everything seems to be going smoothly at this point. When I click "save" a "creating AVI" window appears which also states it is "encoding audio". Within 30 seconds another window appears stating I should open this AVI file in Ulead DVD moviecreator (which only has version 3 for trial/sale). So I open my V3 trial and my 2 logical choices are: Create video disk or create slideshow disk. I do not think the other options are viable at this time. Everything goes fine up to the time I get a window which says "this may take time to render". Anywhere from 3% to 95% of completion I get the following error: Failure to reuse converted cache file (4570) and then another window appears: Unspecifed error. Report ID 0x800411da (4570) (14252:1:0) and this is all the farther I ever get. Please do not respond to this posting by saying "I am sorry I do not have V3." We all know the website, we can all download it. So as a system administrator, please download it to see if it is compatible or not so that you can save THOUSANDS of us a lot of anxiety. If it is not compatible, then lets come up with some alternative method to utilize p2e as a viable slideshow program for implementing to DVD. Having everyone scramble around trying to find an old version of Ulead moviemaker does not seem like a very professional way of having DVD support. thank you in advance for any/all replies. Hopefully someone will catch a step I am doing wrong.Wayne
Wayne
NERO is my HERONERO gave me a Power Calibration Error which clued me into the fact that my medium which came with my DVD burner may be at fault. I switched to "MEMOREX +RW DVD discs and everything worked great!!!!!Now for the big question. Would it still work if I was using Ulead V3 Trial software. Stay tuned. Tomorrow I will be trying that out.until then, take care,Wayne
Wayne
Oh my GOSH..... Ulead V3 Trial is a fully functional trial program and YES the burn feature does indeed work ......I just love it when everything which should work together actually begins to work together.....Once again.....Ulead V3 Trial software downloaded....works for burning the DVD...My only advise is that once you find a medium that works in your DVD...Stickwith it...For now I will stick with the Memorex DVD+RW discs which work for me. ... feeling smug now... LumenLux
I just love it when everything which should work together actually begins to work together.....That often-too-rare condition does command a smile. And we probably all know what you mean.
