tom95521 Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Version 10.0.5 This might be the same problem as Trim/Convert V10 Locks up. I sometimes forget to close video output window because it displays on a different monitor. Maybe file handle is not closed even though video is never opened in video player. Publish HD video. Video is created correctly. Do not click on Play or Close button or X close the video output window. Publish video again. Do not change filename. Answer yes to overwrite. Video output window stays at 0% and Hardware Acceleration is not available. Click on Cancel button Click on Terminate button Click on Close button Video output window does not close. I must kill process using Task Manager. Thanks, Tom Windows 10 Ryzen 2700x Nvidia 1660 Super Quote
goddi Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Tom... Yep...looks like the same problem. Especially when you say " Video output window stays at 0% and Hardware Acceleration is not available" and "...must kill process using Task Manager". Gary Quote
Igor Posted January 16, 2020 Report Posted January 16, 2020 Tom, Gary, OK, we'll add a warning if a file is locked and PTE can't overwrite it for a new video file. Quote
Igor Posted January 16, 2020 Report Posted January 16, 2020 Tom, Gary, Try a new test version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe Does it work correctly for this case now? Quote
goddi Posted January 16, 2020 Report Posted January 16, 2020 Igor, I get the warning message. But actually it should say something like 'Please 'Close' the previous 'Creating HD...' window'. Once I closed it, I could proceed to overwrite the previous Published show with the same filename. Your warning to delete the file is too extreme, not needed. The problem is that the 'Play/Close' window that come up after a Publish if finished can be hidden behind the PTE program...and not seen. Maybe make it 'always on front' so it does not get hidden and it will be closed properly. Gary Quote
tom95521 Posted January 16, 2020 Author Report Posted January 16, 2020 Yes. I get the warning message and after I close the video output window I can overwrite the file. Thanks, Tom Quote
