Bernard45 Posted January 30, 2020 Report Posted January 30, 2020 I am using PTE AV Studio pro 10.0.5 , Windows 10 I am trying to create a video DVD. The first time, videobuilder was apparently installed, but when I clicked on start videobuilder, nothing happened. I checked and found that videobuilder was installed in C:\Users\user-name\appdata\local\PictutesToExe\Versions\10.0\VideoBuilder\ After, when I choose create a video DVD in PTE : absolutely nothing happens : no new window, no error message.....nothing. Any suggestion ? Thanks, Bernard Quote
davegee Posted January 30, 2020 Report Posted January 30, 2020 When it asks you to save your project do you Save? It works ok for me - at least it goes to the Videobuilder app. DG Quote
Bernard45 Posted January 30, 2020 Author Report Posted January 30, 2020 I am not sure I understand your question. But the project has been saved (xxx.pte exists), the .exe for PC has been created, and a mp4 as well. Quote
Bernard45 Posted January 30, 2020 Author Report Posted January 30, 2020 BTW, forgot to say I can start Videobuilder by double click on VideoBuilder.exe , but not directly from PTE. Quote
davegee Posted January 30, 2020 Report Posted January 30, 2020 I can start it directly from pte. I tried it with an unsaved project and it asked me to Save - I did, and VB opened up. DG. Quote
Igor Posted January 31, 2020 Report Posted January 31, 2020 Bernard, Please try the following: 1. Uninstall PTE AV Studio. Don't worry, it will keep all your projects, styles, transitions or templates, 2. Install the latest version 10.0.6 from WnSoft website. 3. In the main menu > Publish > click DVD-Video disc option. Confirm installation of VideoBuilder. 4. Now try to run again VideoBuilder. Note, that you need to open any project with added slides to run VideoBuilder. Quote
Bernard45 Posted January 31, 2020 Author Report Posted January 31, 2020 Hi Igor, I did what you suggested. Same result as before with 10.0.6, VideoBuilder was installed into the same folder as mentioned above, not in C:\Programmes, does it matter ? I try to produce a video DVD, a saved project is open, nothing happens. Quote
Igor Posted January 31, 2020 Report Posted January 31, 2020 Bernard, Do you see a command "Uninstall VideoBuilder" in the main menu > Help ? If yes, call this command. Then in the main menu > Publish > click "DVD-Video disc". Confirm the installation. After the installation, click the button "Start VideoBuilder" in same window. Do you see VideoBuilder? If no, try to click DVD-Video disc in the Publish button (at right-top corner of the main window). Quote
Bernard45 Posted January 31, 2020 Author Report Posted January 31, 2020 Igor, I uninstalled VB, click DVD video, installed VB again, then : click start VB : nothing happens DVD video at top right corner : nothing happens BTW, I have a french version of Windows 10. Quote

Bernard45 Posted January 31, 2020 Author Report Posted January 31, 2020 Hi Igor, Yes it works ok now. Thanks for your help ! Bernard Quote
Igor Posted January 31, 2020 Report Posted January 31, 2020 Bernard, I'm glad! This problem was caused by a space symbol in your user name in Windows. I corrected the code of the VideoBuilder. We'll include this fix for nearest official update 10.0.7. Quote
Bernard45 Posted January 31, 2020 Author Report Posted January 31, 2020 Igor, OK, Thanks (and sorry for causing problems with my name ) Bernard Quote
