rotating photos

Kevin:

From Igor's notes I think you can do it within 4.30, but I have not tried it yet. I am sure someone has and will be along with the steps shortly.

In the meantime, you could use your photo-editing software to do it and bring the rotated iimages into the PTE show.

Kevin,

The auto-rotate feature only works if your camera has that feature turned on when you take the photos. I had reset my camera recently and thought that the new PTE feature wasn't working properly, but after I made the change in the camera again PTE worked as it should. If you have auto-rotate turned on properly, you may need to let Igor know what model of camera and firmware you are using. That way maybe he (or others) can verify whether it is working properly.

As Jim advises, you may need to rotate each of the images in a photo editor program until you get this resolved.

Good luck.

Yes in v4.3, just released, you can rotate images lossless in either direction from both the file and slides list by right-clicking the image (or Ctrl+F or Alt+F) - a help for those unable to rotate automatically outside an image editor.

Take a look

;) I've just checked PTE for slide rotation & it works fine with version 4.3.

Here's what I did:

1. Using "View" from the command bar I chose "Horizontal view"

2. In the bottom pane where all the thumbnails are displayed, I right-clicked on one of my images

3. A pop-up menu appears offering to let me do various things, including "rotate clockwise" & "rotate counterclockwise". I chose the option and it worked just like that.

I hope this helps.
