Deb
Guru, I have never downloaded a beta version of pte. I would like to try it, but I didn't want to overwritemy current version with the beta. Is it supposed to look like trial software and talk about registrationkeys, etc. when it is located elsewhere on a computer. I don't want to mess up my current registration key that gives me free upgrades. Thanks, Deb
Guest guru
Don't worry, Deb, install the beta in a new folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\PTE_4_b1). You won't overwrite anything, and your beta will work without any limitation, exactly like your previous installed release. No problem about your registration key, that has been already written in the system registry. Igor
You are able to install even all published versions of PTE simultaneously!Because PTE keeps its files only in the one folder and it keeps all settings in apr.ini file. And no DLLs.
