Music format supported by PTE AV Studio 10

I am trying to add a WMA file to a show and all I get is a straight line!  Could someone please let me know which music files are supported?

Go to Project Options Audio and ADD AUDIO FILE.

In the screen that says OPEN click on the down arrow at the Bottom Right of screen to see a list of supported files.

Thank you DG. When I follow your instructions all I see when I click the down arrow at the bottom of the Open screen is Audio files or video files. I wanted to know what format files PTE accepts and whether it recognizes WMA or what others does it accept.

Thank you jt49. I was surprised when PTE would not play my WMA music. Now I can only assume that there is a problem with the recording.

Hi Rosemary,

WMA format includes several internal formats. Also some WMA file have a copyright protection.

I have several test WMA audio files which play fine in PTE AV Studio.

You can send me a sample WMA file which doesn't work correctly, I'll check it. Use WeTransfer.com or Send.Firefox.com to share the file.

Alternative solution: convert WMA into MP3 - the best audio format for PTE AV Studio.

Thank you Igor. I agree that some WMA files work just fine. I tried several that I have and they  work. I spent yesterday afternoon converting the problem WMA to MP3. I shall send you the offending WMA.

Thanks DaveGee. I have converted the WMA CD in question to MP3 and it is fine. Igor pointed out that some WMA files have different codes incorporated in the format. This is true because some of my other WMA files work just fine.
