thedom Posted June 11, 2020 Report Posted June 11, 2020 Made and animated 100% within PTE. I am pleasantly surprised by the result. The flames are made with PTE rectangles and masks and were actually really easily animated with modifiers. What do you think ? Quote
Aleina Show Posted June 11, 2020 Report Posted June 11, 2020 It looks very pretty! The flame of candles looks natural. You can make the dark center (wick) a little more noticeable. This is another beautiful idea! Quote
thedom Posted June 11, 2020 Author Report Posted June 11, 2020 Thanks Aleina. I made the change on the left candle. Is it better ? May be too much visible now ? Quote
Aleina Show Posted June 11, 2020 Report Posted June 11, 2020 It seems to me that the left candle looks more real. I like it! But this is just my opinion. Quote
stranger2156 Posted June 12, 2020 Report Posted June 12, 2020 Once upon a time we were fond of burning candle flame in PSP. Quote
thedom Posted June 12, 2020 Author Report Posted June 12, 2020 Wow, impressive ! Everything was made within PSP ? Anyway, I tried to improve my humble simulation (left candle compared to the initial one on the right) Quote
Aleina Show Posted June 12, 2020 Report Posted June 12, 2020 I like the left candle! For greater realism, you can add small indentations, which are obtained under the wick from molten wax. Quote

thedom Posted June 13, 2020 Author Report Posted June 13, 2020 That's a great animation you made, well done! My approach is different. Everything is made from scratch within PTE, no pictures used, only native PTE objects. I find it easier and it gives more flexibility to animate for me, but it’s less photorealistic. Quote
