Sometimes, for accurate construction of the composition, a measuring instrument such as a ruler is needed. Also to determine the linear dimensions of objects, a measuring tool is sometimes needed.

Hello!

I have designed kind of a "puppet on a string" with arms and legs attached to the body around a pivot point, so that I could use the "Rotate" animation feature centred around the attachment point, not the object centre.  Not that easy to achieve the exact pivot point.

I have tried to use the "Grid" option in Objects & Animation, but I did not find that too easy.

So yes, some kind of measurement tool would be useful, also one that would allow to get the grid coordinate of any chosen point.
