Jon Lloyd Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 I have recently migrated everything including Pictures folders and PTE program files from an ailing laptop to a new PC via an external hard drive. I have started and completed a PTE project successfully on the new PC (using PTE v10). Works fine. I have tried to open on the new PC a Project created using PTE v8 on the old laptop. The project loads but cannot find the pictures. Each images is a black blank with the message Image Not Found Welcome, then (e.g)(2of5).jpg. I have copied the pictures onto the same harddrive that the PTE program is installed on. Any ideas as to why PTE can't find them? I have imported them into the project box from where you drag them on to the time line and can drag an image down satisfactorily. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks, Jon Quote
jt49 Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 Put (copies of) the images and (a copy of) the project file (.pte) into a common folder. Quote
wideangle Posted October 21, 2020 Report Posted October 21, 2020 Hi Jon To transfer a project from your old laptop to your new PC, do the following: Open the project on your laptop. Go to File->Create Backup in Zip. Make a copy of this zipped file on a USB stick and put it on your new PC. Unzip the file. You should see the Project file and all the associated picture files. Repeat the process for any other projects you wish to transfer. Regards wideangle Quote
