how do I add video footage-just a few seconds, to a pte slideshow?

Peter,

You can't add video directly to a PTE slideshow, but you can do other things.

One way is to use one of Boxig's (Granot) utilities. These allow you to play a video file before, during or after parts of PTE slideshow(s). If it's in the beginning, he has a program that plays the video first and then the slideshow. If you want it in the middle, you will need to break your slideshow up into sections and before the video, have the PTE Slideshow run external his program and then it can play the remainder. There are many possibilities on how to do this depending on where you want the video and if you have more than just one video file.

Another way, is to save your PTE Slideshow as a video file and then bring that along with your other video file into a Video Editing program (like Ulead's products). Then you can add both video sequences where you want them and create a new Video file. Assuming that your final product is for Video (VCD, VHS, DVD, etc.).
