canico
I add text to a slide using key frames to bring in and remove the text with the on screen duration I want. However the text appears and disappears abruptly, is it possible to fade the text in and out please? Thank you Canico
davegee
Use two key frames to fade the text in and another two to fade the text out. Opacity = 0 - 100 - 100 - 0. DG
Johnwnjr
There is another way to do titles by using three identical images. The first image only needs to be on a short time, the second one you put your text on and can fade it in at a suitable speed and hold it as long a is appropriate, then the third image without text need not be on for long. You see the text come on and go off very smoothly at the speed you require. I hope that this helps, but is worth experiment with. Xenofex2
A further question about adding text. Pretty sure I have seen it in a tutorial at some stage but cannot recall where, and have been wondering what ‘the rule of thumb timing’ is for how long should one leave text on screen for someone to read? Would it make it easier to read if use scrolling text?
jkb
read it through yourself twice slowly That should then be long enough for someone seeing it for the first time to read it. Make sure you use a ledigible font, for some of the more Script type fonts it is better to leave it on slightly longer especially if over an image Jill
