You can enable sound volume control line (Envelope tool) here:

Note that in a new version 10.5 sound volume control line will be always enabled by default. See my comment below.

Regarding the problem with the program or project.

I recommend to install the latest update 10.5:

https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/

Skip the import of settings from the old version to perform a new clean installation (all your projects, styles and templates will be saved and discovered automatically).
