Michel
Igor, can you explain:- why this filter ?- what is his utility or is it necessary and when ?
Igor
"Sharpness filter" option gave too sharp picture earlie. Now it works better. But personally I recommend to don't use this option, except ifyou prefer especially sharpen picture. Ken, what problem exists with Pinnacle Studio? Earlier I've tested v4.20 with version Studio 8 and PTE has special option for this software.p.s. this v4.31 is only small update. Also I'm working for a long time on v4.

alrobin
Ken, I used Pinnacle Studio 8 to make a dvd on the weekend for the first time, and it went very well. I prefer the appearance of the .exe slideshow, but the only trouble I had in making the dvd was in not checking to see that the menu breaks lined up with where I wanted them in the show. stonemason
I've found that PTE will create good quality avi files using VirtualDubMod which is a free programme if peple prefer to use other apps for creating DVD's proceedure is as in the help instructions but using VirtualDubMod.regardsstonemason

stonemason
No I just create the avi file with VirtualDub then you can create DVD from any DVD authoring app that you prefer, instead of Ulead, or Pinnacle(always found this very buggy)VirtualDub can be obtained from here http://www.virtualdub.org/ the mod version can be found athttp://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/ this handles mpeg filesas well as avi.Good tutorials on VirtualDub and video in general can be found here http://www.videohelp.com/Hope this helpsstonemason

Michel
I tested several of my shows (DVD) with the "sharpness" enabled/disabled (Ulead DVD - TV 16/9 and 4/3).The filter is better than before, yes and I can see the difference clearly between on/off.But I don't like this filter, and the transitions effects with it are less smooth, even for certains (mosaic) not very nice. This option is for me useless .
